In 2005, he expanded his academic experience through a semester abroad at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, studying International Real Estate and Social Media. A first-time homeowner and investor at just 19—just before Hurricane Katrina and during the early stages of the housing crisis—Matt gained invaluable experience in real estate finance, property management, design, and marketing. This early trial by fire shaped the foundation of his successful career. Matt is a proud member of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors, the Louisiana Realtors Association.
